However, please note that this schedule may vary from week to week. To receive the latest updates via text or email, you can subscribe through Hotplate.
Where do I pickup the bread?
The pickup time and day vary, but all details are included with each order. Our home bakery is located in Long Beach, CA. We'll provide the exact address after your order is confirmed. If you have an order and need help finding us, please email goodheartbread@gmail.com with your order details and phone number.
What if I don't live in Long Beach?
While our primary pickup location is in Long Beach, we understand that not everyone lives nearby. Unfortunately, we don't offer shipping or delivery services at this time. However, if you're in the greater Los Angeles area and are willing to make the trip, you're more than welcome to place an order and pick up your bread in Long Beach. We appreciate your interest and hope to serve you in the future if you're ever in the area!
What are the ingredients of the bread?
We use simple, high-quality ingredients: organic flour, water, salt, and our natural sourdough starter. Some breads have specialty ingredients, and specific details for each variety are listed on our Hotplate page. Rest assured, we never use added preservatives.
How official is the home bakery?
We are a licensed cottage food operation (Reg No. #BU22411679), complying with all Los Angeles and California state regulations for home-based food businesses. As we operate from a family residence, we kindly ask that you respect our privacy and home when visiting.
What is Hotplate?
Hotplate is an online platform that helps us manage orders efficiently and stay connected with you. As a customer, you'll find it simple to browse our weekly bread offerings, place orders, and receive updates on pickup times and special announcements.
How do I store the bread?
We believe the bread is best when fresh and recommend enjoying a loaf within the first 1-3 days after baking. For optimal freshness, store your bread at room temperature in a paper bag or bread box for 2-3 days. If you want to keep it longer, slice and freeze it for up to 3 months.
How do I reheat the bread?
To enjoy your bread warm, slice it and toast it in a toaster or under the broiler for a few minutes. For a whole loaf, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), lightly sprinkle the crust with water, and heat for about 5-10 minutes. This will restore the crust's crispness and warm the interior.
